On February 7, 2020, Flipo-Richir was able to testify at the second Forum des Acteurs de l’Energie pour l’Afrique about the direct benefits it has received since the last edition: the collaboration with the Agence Francaise du Développement on the rehabilitation of hydroelectric facilities, the subsidy from the Hauts de France region for its development program in hybrid energies, and the participation in the ProForElec program, which aims to train Guinean students in the field of industrial maintenance in the area of electrical engineering, in order to increase the number of recruitments in Guinea.

Visit of the delegation of the energies & applications cluster of Benin to Seclin

On February 5th, Flipo-Richir welcomed the delegation of the Energy & Applications Cluster of Benin for a working meeting. 

This visit, organized by the MEDEE Cluster, aimed to visit the workshops of Flipo-Richir, to propose a demonstration of innovative investigation techniques on High Voltage rotating machines and to exchange on synergies to be explored between academic actors and companies present.

This visit fits perfectly with the Flipo-Richir Group’s desire to share its technical know-how beyond our borders.

Mission to Guinea to set up an electrical engineering training program

The University of Artois, the company Flipo-Richir and the MEDEE cluster have just returned from a mission in Guinea to set up a professional training program in electrical engineering.

In October 2019, following the opening of a subsidiary in Conakry in Guinea and a great need for manpower in the electrical engineering sector, we have, in collaboration with the University of Artois promoted the License in Electrical Engineering.

The result of this collaboration is the signature of an agreement between the University of Artois and the Higher Institute of Technology of Mamou; in order to create a professionalizing program centered around 3 axes:

  • Increasing the skills of teachers. 
  • Equipment of a practical room. 
  • Student mobility between Mamou and the University of Artois. 

These 3 actors’ vision is focused on the beginning of the 2021 school year with the wish to mobilize ERASMUS + funds, which would allow to establish a student exchange.

Presentation of the training program in Guinea to the regional council of Hauts de France

Submission of the training application in Guinea : 

Within the framework of the call for projects “Support for the Development of French Higher Education in Africa” of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a presentation to the Regional Council of Hauts de France was made in the workshops of Flipo-Richir in Seclin in the presence of Mr. Salvator Castiglione, Vice President in charge of International Relations.

Working meeting with Schneider Electric Abidjan in Conakry: objective: to determine the commercial and services strategy for Guinea where Flipo Afrique Energie intervenes as System Integrator of the Alliance network. A collaboration on high-voltage variable speed drives for the mining sector is already underway.

Flipo-Richir consolidates its national presence by opening an agency in Angers: Aimed at expanding its activities to the western region.

Competences in the field of regulation and command control are based there and will also contribute to the numerous export projects especially in the energy field.

Round tables of the first regional forum of energy skateholdeurs

Flipo-Richir participated in the round tables of the first Regional Forum of Energy Actors for Africa. Discussions and reflections in the wake of the opening of its subsidiary in Guinea and its interventions in West Africa.

Training actions in connection with the Faculty of Applied Sciences of Béthune, Innovation in partnership with the Laboratory of Electrotechnical Systems and Environment of Béthune, Approach in Network of companies through the cluster MEDEE.

The actors of Hauts de France mobilized on the projects of access to the electricity in Africa.

BIG : BPI Inno Generation 2018

Flipo Richir was present for the 4th edition of the BIG Bpi Inno Generation, the largest gathering of entrepreneurs in Europe which took place on October 11, 2018 at L’AccorHotels Arena in Paris.

For this 4th edition, BPI France gathered more than 1,000 speakers and organized 250 workshops and conferences on export issues.
